Meet the Crew

We don't just deliver educational facts, we invite your child into an immersive, ongoing story expedition to discover mysteries of the ocean. It’s the perfect gateway to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and ocean explorers.

As an official member of the Ocean Explorers Guild, your child will learn alongside our expert crew:

Captain Florian Wavewright

As Captain of the R.V. Neptune, Florian is the main voice behind the Guild's monthly adventure letters, always happily sharing the crew's latest ocean adventures with young explorers. He has a wonderful habit of doing things a bit differently, constantly looking for new ways to get out on the water and experience the joy of discovery firsthand. Alongside his encouraging words, Florian loves to fill the margins of his logs with his own pencil and watercolor sketches, bringing the scenery of the open sea to life on the page.

Dr. Talia Fisher

Talia is the team's enthusiastic marine biologist, a scientist who feels so at home in and around the water that she is practically a mermaid herself. She is fascinated by the ocean's living wonders, finding joy in studying everything from massive Blue Whales down to the tiniest details like microscopic plankton. Driven by a love for finding the weird, wonderful, and hidden creatures of the deep, Talia's welcoming energy means she is always ready to share a surprising "Did you know?" fact about the sea.

Max Mariner

Max is the calm, observant oceanographer and environmental scientist who keeps his eyes on the "big picture" of our blue planet. By tracking weather patterns, moving currents, and the delicate balance of marine ecosystems, he works to monitor the overall health of the world's oceans. Max cares deeply about conservation and is focused on how the sea connects us all, reminding the crew that even a simple current can tell a story about the entire planet's future.

Zora Steel

Zora is the clever Chief Guild Engineer whose job is to design the handy tools, submersibles, and inventive gear required to explore the ocean safely. Friendly and logical with a bit of a quirky side, she treats every design challenge like a fun puzzle and loves to figure out exactly how things work. Zora enjoys sharing her craft and wants to show young adventurers just how creative, playful, and downright cool engineering can be when you are building for the deep sea.
